My name is Jeremy Dean (Jerm to my peeps), I live in East Texas and I’m going to build a tiny house for myself. Soon.
I am single, in my mid-thirties, a college graduate and, although I LOVE my work as a sign language interpreter, my goal is to work less and live more. I live on 22 acres of gorgeous country in Anderson County with 9 other family members (not in one house!) and this is where I plan to live in my tiny home.
I was born in Hawaii, grew up in Southern California, did a short stint in Washington state before moving back to California, and now find myself settled in East Texas. I LOVE Texas. On our property, I raise chickens for both eggs and meat. My uncle raises chickens, rabbits, and turkeys. We keep hogs too. Most everyone here also has a garden with tomatoes, peppers, apple and pear trees, etc.
Country living here has really opened my eyes to farm-to-table life. I love the connection to the earth I feel when I am able to nourish my family and friends with food that I have grown by the sweat of my own brow. Thus, my attraction to the tiny house culture.
|Just a lil muddin on the go-cart|
Welcome to my blog. I am still in the beginning process of planning and I hope to share this experience with you all here. For the record, like many tiny house fans, I have never in my life built anything bigger than a chicken coop. Talk about an adventure, huh? Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments with me!
Thanks for stoppin' by. Stay tuned for "Tiny Home Living...Why?" coming soon to a blog near you (this one…).
